Marakoopa Café
We are located at Mayberry, a quiet 10 minute drive west of Mole Creek, on the road to Marakoopa Cave.
Our café and tea garden is in a gorgeous setting, with Western Bluff as its backdrop, on the very edge of the Great Western Tiers.
The gardens are a delight, with benches and chairs to relax on as you drink your coffee and enjoy a toasted Panini, a gourmet hot dog or delicious seasonal soup, finished off with a home-baked muffin or cake served with fresh cream.
We have Indian runner ducks, chickens, sheep, geese and a goat for the delight of the children and you may be lucky and spot a blue fairy wren or scarlet robin flitting in the shade of the silver birch trees.
On inclement and wintry days, enjoy sitting on a sofa in our café, soaking up the warmth radiating from our log fire, as you view the snow capped peak of the western bluff.
We are on the Great Western Tiers Caves cycling trail, so why not refuel with a bite to eat and a cuppa or gelato, to sustain you on your adventure? We are a cycling-friendly business and have a basic puncture kit and pump if minor repairs are needed.

Our food
We offer a variety of food, from delicious toasted Panini served with a side salad, to home-made muffins, brownies and cookies. We make seasonal soups and serve locally produced gourmet hot dogs. Why not try an award winning Van Diemens Land Creamery Gelato or freshly baked Apple and Cinnamon or Blueberry Cake made with our own grown fruit after your meal?
We endeavor to use home grown, locally sourced or Tasmanian ingredients, and can supply our food to take away if required.

Our coffee
We serve Ritual Coffee’s seasonal blend. Ritual Coffee is a micro-roastery in Launceston, with a passion to find amazing beans from around the world. Ritual buy their green beans direct from the farmer when in season to ensure they are roasted in peak condition. The blends subtly change throughout the year to include only the freshest shipment of beans.
Our trained barista will transform the freshly roasted beans into that special cup of smooth coffee you desire. Just tell us how you like it… from strong dark Espresso Doppio to the velvety texture of a latte.
We also serve specialty teas, hot chocolate, iced coffee, milkshakes, juices and soft drinks.
